Who is Serranos Coffee?
Serranos Coffee is the natural extension of my life-long obsession with great tasting coffee.
The name Serranos Coffee evolved as I prepared to open my own company. Serranos is a Spanish word for either the mountains or the people who live in the mountains. Naming my company Serranos Coffee is my way of recognizing WHERE the best tasting coffees come from and more importantly the PEOPLE who grow, harvest and process coffee with CARE to insure you and I get wonderful and special coffee.
I believe great tasting coffees are a direct result of the CARE that people take in preparing coffee. Great care is necessary in all phases of coffee production coaxing the trees to produce exceptional fruit and preserving those flavors by processing the coffee cherry into the green coffee beans I receive. The focus needed to produce great tasting coffee continues into the roasting process. Coffee roasting combines art and science for optimal results. The art of roasting creates perfect roasts for each individual coffee while the science produces consistent results every time. A true roast-master can see the small differences in different lots of coffee and adjust the roasting appropriately…
